Welcome to my new website. Heh my new CD ONE is out!

I started rehearsing some songs with pianist Nelson Boschman in 2015. We worked on 14 tunes and then whittled them down to the top ten. In November 2019, this fabulous band of brothers came together to record ten songs @ Downe Under Studios.

The idea behind ONE was to explore new avenues for spirituality in the Arts. I love having dialogues around ‘higher power’, moments in creation/nature where we are touched by something or a presence bigger than ourselves. I feel like conversations around human brokenness and our need for grace have been somewhat stunted, at least where I live, to the point of fear and politically correctness closing off genuine child-like openness. . As a kid I used to wonder a lot. With ONE I wanted to re-engage myself to wonder again – with melody and rhythm, with One Band* and to bless people everywhere and anywhere who God loves – and have fun doing it! In other words – whoever might listen. For I’m on that journey of searching and healing as well. I’ve invited a Companion into my heart for that journey – no regrets, even if I still have some unanswered questions, or witness things I can’t find words to yet explain in this precious life.
